This illustrated children's book for ages 5-10 years old, is a non-fiction story about a raven born in the wild, that suffered an injury. We follow Zach's story from falling out of the nest as a young bird to being taken care of by Wildlife rehabilitators. We learn all about what it is like to take care of animal ambassadors like Zach, and where he lives presently at the Audubon Society of Rhode Island. Young readers learn about the important role of wild animals like ravens in nature, and what they can do to help scientists learn more about animals today in the wake of climate change.
